Sim Posted November 4, 2006 Report Posted November 4, 2006 Can anyone help with the problem i have. Bad cold starting and rough idle if it starts as if over choked. I also have a problem with an intermittent fault that the car runs great then come to a junction and it trys to stall on tickover.This has happened during the hot weather and still doing it now.Please give me idea's where to look.Thanks Quote
Guest VR6! Posted November 4, 2006 Report Posted November 4, 2006 ISV or coil pack problems? check the condition of the looms and plugs to the coil packs? the ISV get gummed up over time! remove it and flush it through with petrol or car cleaner, refit it an see how you go? Quote

ISV Idle S tabilisation Valve, mounted on the rear of the engine IIRC under the intake manifold IIRC? rcylindrical object held in place by two bolts, hit the search engine IIRC there is a picture of one on a 2.3 somewhere?
